Here are some notes on computer pioneers whom I have worked with.
Though I have in some instances been referred to as a “pioneer”, I do not regard myself in that sense for computing.
Computer pioneers are those people who made effective use of computers during the 1950s and 1960s.
I was a little late for that (see this for my perspective, and also this). In terms of involvement, I relate that to generation, beginning with the delivery of the first commercial computer early in 1951:
